ISLAMABAD – On Thursday, the Pakistani rupee stayed the same against the US dollar, closing at Rs278.70 in interbank trading. In the open market, the dollar’s buying rate was Rs279.30 and the selling rate was Rs280.40, according to the Forex Association of Pakistan (FAP). The Euro’s price went up by Rs2.35, ending at Rs306.87, compared to the previous day’s Rs304.52, as reported by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP). The Japanese yen increased by 1 paisa, closing at Rs1.89, while the British Pound went up by Rs1.25 to Rs358.08 from the previous Rs356.83. The Emirates Dirham remained steady at Rs75.87, and the Saudi Riyal rose by 4 paisa, reaching Rs74.27.
