ISLAMABAD – Finance and Revenue Minister Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb has once again promised to support export-driven growth and create a favorable environment for local manufacturers. He met with representatives from the Pakistan Mobile Phone Manufacturers Association (PMPMA) at the Finance Division on Thursday, with senior officials from relevant ministries also present. The PMPMA team thanked the minister and stressed the need for stable policies that help local manufacturers. They suggested measures to ensure international brands support the domestic industry, which would benefit the national economy. The delegation also proposed ideas to boost the local mobile phone manufacturing industry and increase exports.
Senator Aurangzeb appreciated the feedback and reiterated the government’s commitment to expanding the digital sector in the country. He highlighted the importance of consistent policies and a strong focus on export strategies. The meeting ended with an agreement on the need for a strategic policy framework to support local manufacturing, enhance export potential, and contribute to national economic growth and digital progress.
