Rupee Loses 10 Paisa Against Dollar
ISLAMABAD – On Wednesday, the Pakistani rupee dropped by 10 paisa against the US dollar in interbank trading, ending at Rs278.50, compared to Rs278.40 the day before. In the open market, according to the Forex Association of Pakistan (FAP), the dollar was bought at Rs279 and sold at Rs280.75. The Euro fell by Rs1.24 to Rs301.55 from Rs302.79. The Japanese yen gained 2 paisa, ending at Rs1.80, while the British Pound decreased by 82 paisa to Rs358.81 from Rs359.63. The Emirates Dirham and the Saudi Riyal each rose by 2 paisa, closing at Rs75.82 and Rs74.24 respectively.
